BoyarMiller Client Buffalo Heights Wins 2020 Landmark Award

HOUSTON (Sept. 28, 2020) – Buffalo Heights, one of the city’s top commercial real estate projects in 2019 and a BoyarMiller client, was recognized Sept. 24 as the winner in the Mixed-Use Category of the 2020 Landmark Awards by the Houston Business Journal.
The Landmark Awards distinguish Houston’s outstanding commercial real estate projects in 19 categories for excellence in land planning, design, construction, economics, marketing and management. The BoyarMiller legal team on the project included Shareholders Blake Royal and Bill Boyar.
Entries were judged on impact to Houston, such as job creation, innovation, best use of land, site plan, development of surrounding neighborhoods, visual plan, amenities, and being environmentally friendly.

Buffalo Heights is a mixed-use district created by the Russell Gordy family and located close to Houston’s Buffalo Bayou Park, the Heights, the Washington Avenue Corridor, Memorial Park and downtown. The first phase includes a seven-story, mixed-use building on four acres, the 232-unit luxury St. Andrie apartment community, One Buffalo Heights Class-A boutique offices, and dedicated parking for retail, residential, and office. The building also incorporates an HEB, which is the first HEB located in a mixed-use development in Houston.
Future phases of the property will expand along Washington Avenue between South Heights Boulevard to Studemont Street.
