Associate, Litigation Group
Jenna Shorter is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Group focusing on probate litigation. She has experience in probate, trust, and fiduciary litigation matters.
Jenna has been involved in all aspects of the probate process from probating wills in uncontested estates to litigating complex guardianship and estate issues. She understands the legal and personal difficulties her clients face, and she focuses on making the probate process as easy as she can for her clients.
Jenna’s publications include her paper that was presented at the State Bar of Texas’ 46th Annual Advanced Estate Planning & Probate Course. Her academic distinctions include a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from South Texas College of Law Houston.
Her time at law school was marked by leadership roles, including President of the Student Bar Association, and receiving accolades such as The Lisa Dahm Award for Writing Excellence in Public Policy and the CALI Award in Wills, Trusts & Estates. Jenna holds a B.S. in Advertising and a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin. She also served as Law Clerk in the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel in New Orleans.
Jenna is actively involved in various professional associations, including The Texas Probate Law American Inn of Court, Disability and Elder Law Attorneys Association, Attorneys in Tax and Probate, and the Real Property, Probate & Trust Section of the State Bar of Texas.
