Bill Boyar Elected to Combined Arms Board of Directors

HOUSTON (08/09/2024) – Founding Shareholder Bill Boyar has been elected to the Board of Directors of Combined Arms, a non-profit organization that connects veterans to resources through its platform. Boyar was elected in June for a 3-year term.

Since 2020, Combined Arms has been working to create a digital marketplace of fully vetted and validated non-profit organizations to save the military community. In addition to stringent screening, once “accepted,” all organizations must commit to responding to individuals within 72 hours.

“This is a highly innovative organization, and I am excited to join with a strong management team and great Board leadership to help grow Combined Arms’ impact nationally and internationally,” Boyar said. “They are leveraging technology and data-fueled insights to connect veterans and military families with the right resources when they need it the most. This broadens our Firm’s community commitment by adding support for veterans and their families.”

Boyar serves or has served several non-profit organizations, including KIPP Texas Public Schools (Board of Directors, Founding Board Chair 2018-2021), KIPP Houston Public Schools (Executive Board, Chair 2015-2018), SEARCH Homeless Services (former Board Chair), the University of Houston Bauer College of Business Real Estate Program (former Board Chair), the Houston Food Bank, the End Hunger Network (former Board Chair), the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation Board, and Lochinvar Golf Club.

Boyar’s law practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, and commercial real estate, representing the various parties involved in the acquisition, disposition, capitalization, and financing of assets and businesses on a national and international level. Bill served as Chairman of BoyarMiller from 1990-2010. Today, he continues with his law practice, mentoring business leaders and lawyers, and actively serving the Houston community.
