HOUSTON (January 11, 2023) – BoyarMiller Chairman Chris Hanslik has been selected to serve on the Host Committee for the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship that will be played on January 8, 2024 at NRG Stadium. It will be the first time Houston will host the college championship game.
The Host Committee works with the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority and is the liaison between the College Football Playoff and the City of Houston. It is charged with overseeing all activities and events around the big game.
“I am honored and excited to be involved in such a prestigious and high-profile sporting event for the City of Houston and college football fans,” said Hanslik. “This is the biggest game in college football providing both economic and community impact. And we know Houstonians are big football fans, so I’m sure it will energize the entire city.”
Hanslik has extensive leadership experience with prominent sporting events. He has served on the Houston Super Bowl LI Host Sub-Committee and is currently a member of the Board of Directors and past chairman for the Texas Bowl.
