Meet Jet McGuire

When did you know you wanted to pursue a career in law?

I have a passion for protecting the people that I care about. This is the same passion that drove me to pursue a career in law, and extends to my clients in my day to day practice.

What practice areas do you have experience in, and what aspects of it do you find most interesting or challenging?

I have experience in mergers and acquisitions, aircraft acquisitions, aircraft tax structuring, and general corporate matters. All of these practice areas are exceptionally fast-moving, intellectually stimulating, and generally mentally challenging. I also really enjoy meeting new and interesting clients – most of whom are or were entrepreneurs – and helping them achieve their goals whether in business, or in life.  

Can you share a memorable experience that has shaped your career?

I will never forget the first time one of my clients wrote a testimonial after we closed her transaction. In the grand scheme of our practice, this was a very simple and straight forward transaction, but I realized just how much it meant to her – even if it was a simple day to day deal for us. This always reminds me how sometimes the smallest things can have the largest impact on the lives of our clients.

Tell us something people might not know about you.

When I am not working, I have a lot of varied interests, including: riding motorcycles, flying airplanes, reading, working out, and even playing the latest video games.

What is a favorite book, podcast, movie or restaurant you have enjoyed lately?

I am an avid reader, and when I am not reading for work, I generally like to keep it light and read action/fiction. I have been engrossed in The Terminal List series (and am really looking forward to the seventh book when it is released)!
